ROOT Signs $5.92 Millon Mower Supply Contract with India’s ITL
- Contract to supply 5,550 mowers over 5 years for installation on ITL’s Solis export tractors.
- Enhanced convenience through ROOT’s 54/60-inch models and proprietary ‘Quick Connect’ technology.
- Accelerating expansion into core markets, including North America and Europe, through a global partnership with ITL.

ROOT, a subsidiary of the global agricultural machinery specialist TYM, has signed a 7.87 billion KRW mower supply contract with International Tractors Limited (ITL), a leading Indian corporation. This agreement officially accelerates ROOT's strategic penetration into major global markets, such as the United States and Europe.

On April 6, ROOT announced that it finalized the contract with India’s ITL in late February to supply a total of 5,550 mowers (approx. $5.92 million) over a five-year period.

The contract focuses on two core models: the 54-inch and 60-inch mowers. Starting with an initial volume of 250 units this year (90 units of 54-inch, 160 units of 60-inch), the project is designed to gradually expand to an annual supply of 2,000 units (700 units of 54-inch, 1,300 units of 60-inch) by the fifth year.

This agreement is particularly significant as ROOT’s products will be mounted on "Solis," ITL’s export tractor brand, and distributed to major global markets including the U.S. and Europe, extending beyond simple supply for the Indian domestic market. This allows ROOT to secure stable, long-term export revenue while establishing a pivotal turning point to enhance its brand awareness in advanced global markets.

ROOT successfully secured the contract by proposing customized products based on a precise analysis of North American and European consumer standards and buyer demands. A key factor in finalizing the deal was ROOT’s self-developed "Quick Connect" technology, which allows for effortless installation onto tractors without complex operations, perfectly meeting the needs of both ITL and overseas end-users.

Building on this successful collaboration with ITL, ROOT plans to further intensify its efforts to increase market share in its primary target markets, including the U.S. and Europe.

A ROOT official stated, "It is highly meaningful that our Quick Connect model, completed with our own proprietary technology, will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of ITL tractors headed for the global stage." The official added, "We will continue to satisfy U.S. and European consumers with superior product quality and unrivaled convenience technology, leaping forward as a leading brand in the global agricultural machinery market."
